Spring into Action

After the wettest and warmest February on record it seems spring is finally here. The advent of spring seems to bring with it the urge to do something! Whether it's an urge to spring-clean, tackle the DIY jobs you've been putting off, get fit, or just make more of the lighter evenings you'll find lots of ideas and info on this website.

Wonka

Wonka is a 2023 musical fantasy film directed by Paul King, who co-wrote the screenplay with Simon Farnaby based on a story by King. It tells the origin story of Willy Wonka, a character in the 1964 novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl, depicting his early days as a chocolatier. The Quiet Girl

The Quiet Girl is Irish coming-of-age film Dir. Colm Bairead PG13 / 135 mins. Based on novella by Claire Keegan, a young girl is fostered by relatives on a farm in rural Ireland. Part of the Curious Cinema Club Irish film season. Friday 5 April - Elephant on the Green
